The purpose of this study is to examine the metaphorical perceptions of individuals who simultaneously hold both teacher and parent identities regarding the concept of "child", and to comparatively analyze the similarities and differences between these two identities. The study was conducted using the phenomenological design and metaphor analysis technique. The study group consisted of 100 teachers working in public schools in Siirt during the 2025-2026 academic year, each having at least one child. An examination of the findings revealed that the metaphors produced under the teacher identity were grouped under seven conceptual categories, while those produced under the parent identity were grouped under six conceptual categories. "A Being in Need of Growth and Development" was found to be the most dominant category in both identities, and eighteen common metaphors were identified. While pedagogical and formative images were prominent in the teacher identity, emotional attachment, meaning-loading, and protective themes were salient in the parent identity.
