The aim of this study was to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between perceived organizational support and quiet quitting behavior among nurses. The study was conducted using a descriptive and correlational research design. The sample consisted of 417 female nurses working in healthcare institutions in Elazığ, Türkiye. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Perceived Organizational Support Scale, the Job Satisfaction Scale, and the Quiet Quitting Scale. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, and mediation analysis were performed using Hayes' PROCESS Macro Model 4. The findings revealed that perceived organizational support had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, while both perceived organizational support and job satisfaction had significant negative effects on quiet quitting behavior. Furthermore, bootstrap analysis indicated that job satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between perceived organizational support and quiet quitting behavior. In conclusion, perceived organizational support was found to play an important role in reducing quiet quitting behavior by increasing nurses' job satisfaction. The findings are expected to contribute to managerial practices aimed at reducing quiet quitting behavior as well as to the nursing management literature.
