SİVİL TOPLUM KURULUŞLARINDA MİSYON SORUNSALI: ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER, ETKİLERİ VE ÇÖZÜM ÖNERİLERİ

Özet

Today, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) play important roles, from the development of
democracy to the solution of the education problem, from alleviating poverty to development.
Because of these missions, the state and the private sector are trying to contribute to the solution of
these chronic problems by NGOs. Because, unlike the public structure and the private sector, NGOs
are mission-based, special mission-based organizations. Their single mission causes them to deepen
and specialize in problem solving. We see that the numerical and qualitative dimensions of NGOs
are increasing rapidly every day. When Associations, Foundations, Chambers, Unions, Bar
Associations, Political Parties, Cooperatives and Unions are included, it is seen that a very large
structure, in other words the sector, emerges. Therefore, the economy, problems, management,
management problems, human resources problems, financing problems and mission problems of
this sector have inevitably become the subject of discussion and research in intellectual
environments. The problem of mission is at the forefront of these problems. It has been observed
that Non-Governmental Organizations, which have gone beyond their founding purposes, lost their
mission of existence, or have shifted their mission, have recently started to evolve towards
becoming a part of the chaos, moving away from being the center of the solution. It has been
observed that, in the face of socio-cultural, economic and natural disasters experienced in our
country and other countries of the world, many NGOs forget their reason for existence and
experience mission overflow and slippage, and while trying to be a part of the solution, they
actually become a part of the chaos without realizing it. In the study, the reasons that form the basis
of the problem in this field, its impact on NGOs and solution suggestions are included.
