External debt is of vital importance to developing countries which lack sufficient income and saving levels to sustain their economic developments. Consequently, if the benefit the countries get from the external debts surpasses the external borrowing cost, that means external debts are sustainable. But nowadays, the problem of external debt of developing countries has become one of the most important economic problems. The problems of external debt experienced by the countries cause financial imbalances in these countries and have a negative effect on the development of these countries. As of 2016, Kyrgyzstan is the country with an external debt of 7.8 billion dollars against its GDP of 7.5 billion dollars. The study makes an analysis of the external debt problematic and efficiency of external debt in Kyrgyz economy. In order to accelerate the economic growth of the country it is necessary to reduce and establish multi directional control over foreign debt.
