The research was carried out with qualitative research technique in order to understand the
expectations of parents in this educational institution and different perspectives specific to them,
and a study group was formed in accordance with the "cluster sampling" among the sampling
methods. In the determined study group, a total of 124 parents in four classes, all of which are 3rd
graders, were asked semi-structured open-ended questions, which were prepared by taking expert
opinions. The data was reached with the coding system, and the obtained data were subjected to
descriptive and content analysis. As a result of this analysis, data were obtained and interpreted
under the heading of “Parents' expectations from the school and school administration for student
success”. Some of these views are given as examples in the interpretation section. As a result of the
research, it was concluded that the parents wanted to be in touch with them, to be informed about
the process, to be cared about the hygiene issue at school, and to expect their students to be cared
for and listened to. Based on these results, suggestions were made for the development of schoolparent cooperation.
