ANALYSIS OF THE WORDS OF PRAISE USED IN COMMUNICATION WITH CHILDREN IN TERMS OF TEACHER, PROSPECTIVE TEACHER AND PARENT

The main purpose of this research is to determine the words of praise used by teachers, prospective
teachers and parents when communica-ting with children and it is to reveal whether it is different
from various aspects or from multiple perspectives. It was used in the research, a questionnaire
developed by researchers to identify the most frequently used words of praise. 138 primary school
teachers, 275 parents and 157 teacher candidates participated in the study voluntarily. According to
the findings; The word "well done" is the most commonly used word, by parents, teachers and
prospective teachers. No statistically significant relationship between the gender of teachers,
prospective teachers and parents, education level, whether they take communication lessons /
courses, and using the word "well done". In the second place, the word "I love you" is the most -
common word used by the parents, while the word "very good" has been in the teachers. In the third
place, the parents used the words "you are growing up now" while the teachers used "I know you
can do it" and "I trust you". The study concluded that parents, teachers and prospective teachers use
the words labeling children, though a little.
