Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between the emotional changes experienced by
individuals and their general health status during the pandemic period, and also to determine
whether the aforementioned changes differ according to the demographic characteristics of the
participants. As a result of the evaluation of the online questionnaires applied to 681 participants, a
similar, weak and significant relationship was found between the general health status of the
participants and their emotional changes during the pandemic process (r:0.199,p>0.01). In other
words, negative emotional changes experienced during the pandemic process have a similar
relationship with the deterioration of the general health status of the individual. On the other hand, it
was observed that the general health status did not change according to gender (Z:-1.149; p:0.251),
but the emotional changes during the pandemic process were higher in women compared to men
and were statistically significant (Z:-3.256; p:0.001). In addition, it has been observed that there are
opposite relations between general health status and age, experience in the workplace and general
work experience, and it has been determined that the general health status does not differ according
to the performance of working from home.
