Abstract

Inclusive education is an approach that creates equality of opportunity in accordance with
individualized quality education programs that aim to attract the attention of all students in the
education process and to support them by harmonizing education with their individual abilities and
needs. The aim of this study is to determine the thoughts of preschool teachers about the quality of
inclusive education. The research is a single case study from qualitative research methods. The study group consists of 20 pre-school teachers who work in schools affiliated to the Ankara
Provincial Directorate of National Education in the 2022-2023 academic year, who attended the inservice training seminar on inclusive education and who are thought to have knowledge on this
subject. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The obtained data were analyzed
with descriptive analysis and content analysis techniques. As a result of the research, it has been
revealed that inclusive education practices are adopted by teachers and that inclusive education is a
necessary learning method for all students in our education system. In addition, although they
believe in the necessity of inclusive education, it has been concluded that teachers have difficulties
in the face of the problems they encounter in inclusive education. Based on these results, it is
recommended that teachers be supported in inclusive education and applied education
