Career includes a process from birth to death. There are many factors that affect the shaping of this
process. The aim of this study is to examine some descriptive factors and family-related variables
that affect the career anxiety of science high school students. The study group consists of 267
students from the first, second and third grades studying at Samsun Science High School. The
findings obtained as a result of the study show that the career anxiety levels of female students are
higher than that of males. At the same time, family interventions on students' career choices were
found to have a partial effect on students' career anxiety. The reason for this is that there are many
social and economic factors other than family that increase career anxiety.
