In this research, it is aimed to examine the researches on the glass ceiling barriers faced by women
who are most involved in the field of education. For article analysis; Data were collected through
the document scanning technique of the researches on the glass ceiling obstacles experienced by
female teachers and administrators in education administration. For the study, the articles and thesis
studies published in the Google Academic and National Thesis Center database between 2001-2017
were examined, and the contents and results of 11 studies were examined. The researches in the
obtained data were analyzed and interpreted. According to the data obtained in this research;
Women who play the most roles in the field of education are exposed to some obstacles in their
professional lives and experience difficulties in their career progression with the glass ceiling
syndrome.
