A STUDY ON THE ANALYSIS OF DOCTORAL THESIS IN JOURNALISM DEPARTMENT

Abstract

On the official website of the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education, content analysis of the doctoral
dissertations of the Department of Journalism published in the Social Sciences Institute of Istanbul University was conducted.
Thesis; topics are categorized according to research methods, number of pages, constraints. Mainly it consists of more than
200 pages of the doctoral dissertation, thesis is made of many different subjects and gave signals that are increasingly original
works in the field of journalism as a result. In addition to the limitation of theses cases it is restricted when viewed in half, it is
noteworthy that the study mainly analyzed using content analysis method.
