DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION EFFECTS OF THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK

Abstract

Today, the rapid development and change of technology has made digitalization necessary in many
areas. In accordance with the requirements of the age, digital transformation is included in all areas
of life. Factors such as the increasing competitive environment and changing technological
conditions have caused the digital transformation in individual life to emerge in industrial life.In the study;the definition and characteristics of the concept of digital transformation and the effects
of digital transformation on business performance are examined. In addition, the effects of the
Covid-19 epidemic, which is among the most important agenda topics of today and has affected the
whole world, on digital transformation will also be examined.
In this study; in particular, the resources published in our country were used when dealing with the
digital transformation effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. Although there are not enough sources
about the possible effects of the pandemic environment we have been in for about a year, the study
has been completed by examining current issues.
As a result of the analysis, it has been seen that digital transformation is a necessity of the age and
the Covid-19 epidemic has more important effects on digital transformation. It has been more clear
in this epidemic that there is no future for firms that do not realize digital transformation.
