The aim of this study is to create a reference source for the conscious interpretation of the Concerto No. 2 in C-sharp minor, op. 129, composed for violin by Dmitri Shostakovich, one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, and its use as an educational curriculum. In order to make the study more efficient, the content has been enriched with information about the composer's musical approach and characteristics, op.77 Violin Concerto No.1 in A Minor and the changing concerto form in the 20th century, in addition to examining the concerto with the help of visuals and suggestions for interpretation. As the work has an intellectually complex structure, there are many interpretation suggestions about vibrato, bowing techniques, intellectual formation, playing style, the place and importance of melodic structure in orchestration in the section illustrated with visuals. In order to contribute to the solution of the problems that may arise in learning and interpreting the work in accordance with the composer's musical language and the style of the period in which it was written, many written sources have been consulted, the information obtained through the literature review method has been qualitatively evaluated by me and presented in the content as comments and study suggestions. In addition, I have listened to the recordings of various performers, and I have played the piece several times, practising it individually. The study is important in terms of its use by performers and its use in the educational curriculum.
