It is an undeniable fact that the attitudes of the personnel, which are important for the activities of
travel agencies, in the recognition of the agency and in increasing its quality. Therefore, the
evaluation criteria of these people are as important as the quality and success of the personnel
working in the travel agency. In this study, it is aimed to determine which criteria are important in
personnel selection of Group A travel agencies in the Niğde province. For this reason, with the
criteria established for personnel selection, a questionnaire was created for Analytic Hierarchy
Process, one of the multi criteria decision making method, in order to consult the ideas and opinions
of the managers of Group A travel agencies in Niğde province, and data were obtained. In the study,
“Educational Background, Computer Experience, Experience, Reference, Being Reliable, Physical
Characteristics of the Person, Foreign Language Knowledge and Communication Knowledge” was
determined as the personnel selection criteria for agency managers.
