method. The study was carried out at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University School of Physical Education and Sports in

violence. During these interactive lectures, the students were informed about the definition of violence, its types,
typology, and theories about the cause of violence, the severity of dating violence, its reasons, results and methods of
protection. The lectures were delivered by the researches in the classrooms for at least one hour each. Before and after
the lecture, students were asked to fill in the questionnaire "Attitudes towards Dating Violence" which was developed
by Price, Byers and Dating Vigor Research Team (1999) and adapted into Turkish by Yumuşak and Şahin (2014). Since
133 questionnaires were incompletely filled in the pre-test or post-test period and the data analysis was performed on
the questionnaire of 319 students. According to the findings of the study, the attitudes of the university students towards
dating violence change and their level of the dating violence acceptance was found to be lower after the lecture. In
