Abstract

In this study, the analysis of Taylor's theory called Principles of Scientific Management and some problems encountered in the application of these principles are discussed. If Taylor's principles are examined under four main headings, these are; The development of a truly scientific approach, the selection of workers by scientific methods, the training and development of the selected worker by scientific methods, and a clearly defined close relationship between management and workers. Taylor sees these principles as an indispensable principle to increase productivity. For this reason, according to Taylor, scientific management is an indispensable form of management for increasing productivity. In addition, everyone knows that all profit-oriented businesses depend on employee productivity. Despite all this, these basic principles and principles will not be easily implemented. Some problems encountered in practice were examined in the study. Additionally, the study provides an extensive literature review.
