TRANSLATION OF SELIM SIRRI TARCAN'S TEXT ENTITLED DEKROLI MEKTEBI III FROM OTTOMAN TO LATIN LETTERS

Abstract

Selim Sırrı Tarcan is a sportsman who played an important role in the development and spread of
Turkish sports. The aim of this study is to translate Selim Sırrı Tarcan's Dekroli Mektebi III, which
was published in Hayat magazine, from Ottoman Turkish to Latin Letters. In this study, document
analysis, which is included in the qualitative research method, was used as a method. Selim Sirri
Tarcan; In this article he wrote, he focused on the distortion of the education given in schools.Stating that each child has different abilities and different characteristics, Tarcan emphasizes that
teachers give education to all children with the same system, regardless of children. He also states
that when the training program does not produce the expected effect, some people do not have the
expected effect from the mistakes in the training program.
